Let’s face it, $25,000 could go a long way towards fixing your place up. Many home improvement contests offer you something for just your bathroom, or kitchen, or yard, but if you spend wisely with this $25,000 you could improve multiple parts of your house. Personally, I would like to improve by bathroom and kitchen inside the house and grow some grass and add a fence outside. I’m almost embarrassed to have family and friends over to use our outdated bathroom. It’s tiny, it has old dated fixtures, some kind of laminate fake tile wallpaper, and worn, chipped mirrors. The previous owners apparently had a pension for adding and re-positioning grab bars, toilet roll holders, cup holders and all nature of DIY add-ons that were either moved or removed and left unsightly screw holes behind in the laminate. Not to mention, it’s at that point where no matter how long and hard you scrub at it, it just never looks and feels clean.

And my backyard, let’s just say if I see a blade of actual grass pop up I’d be compelled to build it an altar. Somehow this extremely rainy winter seems to have simultaneously killed what little grass we had while giving birth to all kinds of weeds, many which I had never seen before. It’s as if a UFO flew over and crop-dusted my yard with seeds from Mars. I’m pretty sure if I sprayed a weed killer I would be left with nothing but mud.
